The Granton® Edge, was originally designed and patented by our Company in 1929, and since this time almost every knife manufacturer in the world has tried to duplicate the edge – and have even tried to use the Granton name to describe their copies!

The Granton® Edge was originally designed specifically with the professional user in mind. It has taken generations to perfect the manufacturing process and it is product of which we are very proud.

The Granton® Plain edge

The traditional Plain Edge Granton® knife is manufactured with over 400 years of experience in knife making. The steel used, coupled with the heat treatment process, ensures a fine, durable long lasting edge.

Each production run is hardness tested as part of our stringent quality control system, this ensures that each knife will perform to its maximum capability.

The Granton® Plain edge range is used extensively in the meat and fish processing industry where a long lasting fine edge is vital to ensure that maximum yields are achieved on the production line.

Then there are the traditional butchers and fish mongers, who have used Granton® knives for many years and still ask their suppliers specifically for the Granton® range of knives - surely a true testament for a great knife
